As Confucius put it:

“Real knowedge is to know the extent of one’s ignorance”

知之为知之,不知为不知,是知也

(Zhīzhī wéi zhīzhī bùzhī wéi bùzhī shì zhīyě)

Analects of Confucius (551 BC – 479 BC)

While gregarious Irishman Oscar Wilde declared:

“There are only two kinds of people who are really fascinating; people who know absolutely everything,

and people who know absolutely nothing”

-Oscar Wilde, Irish dramatist, novelist, & poet (1854 – 1900)
